More of Siggraph! Actually that robot building therapy sounded really cool, here’s an article about it in case you’d like to know more about http://www.health2con.com/news/2012/01/13/diy-robots-provide-theraphildren/
Also, I might add that the guy at Ringling didn’t really told me that the debt was worth it, but it got kinda offended when I asked him how many years it usually takes for students to pay off something that big :/ I’ve started to think, no matter how cool the school is or how awesome artist it would make you, it’s still a big deal and a factor to consider.
Still at Siggraph! This time we got to go around the Studio and see lots of technologic stuff we didin’t understand :) We felt really bad by walking out the Frozen production session after they started talking tech stuff, since like 1/3 of the audience stood up and leave at that point >_> but yeah, we couldn’t understand a thing
What? Page 50 already? And not even 1/3 of the trip? Hahaha, well I may have gone into much details. But here are we waiting for the directors to get out of the Arena and try to talk to them, and also encountering Bobby Beck, co-founder of Animation Mentor, which was really cool and enthusiastic as he appears to be :)
More of the Siggraph keynote panel 2013! What Henry Selick said was really interesting, and if you want to read more about it, here’s an interview http://variety.com/2013/digital/news/will-streaming-save-animations-soul-1200566445/
Here’s the start of the great animation directors keynote at Siggraph! You can actually see the full video here if you want http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvTFJafIafM These are the notes I took and what I most found interesting.
The Siggraph experiences start here! They were 3 intense days full of vocational crisis and doubts :D, but it was fun and cool things happened
The end of our San Diego chapter! The Siggraph/Anaheim chapter is next :)
Page 1 of when we met Scott C. at SDCC! He had an advanced copy of his new book “If dogs run free” http://www.pyramidcar.com/if-dogs-run-free-signing-schedule/ and it’s very cute. I’m really more of a cat person so the dogs were really awesome for me to have loved it so much, hahaha.
